Self-Portrait, With Ghost

In this Southern ghost story, young Artist Zadie Williams finds herself pitted against her stepmother, the increasingly famous collagist Chloe Anderson.  Zadie is consumed with grief by the early death of her mother, Leslie, and her father’s quick remarriage.  Zadie’s budding career seems to be undermined when she discovers that her stepmother has used her mother’s images, pottery, and quilts to increase her own fame, and when the ghost of Leslie seems to reappear, she marshals all her powers to summon the dead and bring her stepmother down.
